This is such a wonderful antique French bolster pillow cover! it's a linen cotton mix striped ticking ~ This long, tubular pillowcase is made of a beautiful vintage ticking fabric and dates to the middle to late 1800's ~durable and heavyweight antique cotton fabric - , faded PERFECTLY and SO classically French! The name "denim" derives from the French "de Nîmes." Nîmes is an area of France once also known for producing these wonderful heavy ticking fabrics! The ground tone of this textile is a perfectly aged off white, and the stripes are a beautiful muted FADED Ecru and red ~ Ideal for creative hands to bring it to life again! ~*~
MEASUREMENTS: This bolster pillowcase measures approximately 12 inches wide ( the width laid straight flat, so about 24 inches around or so! ~ ) Radius ~ by 40 inches long
CONDITION: This bolster pillow cover has been left in as found, unwashed condition for collectors ~ one of the ends is damaged with some staining ~ there are some tiny age marks, some tiny rust stains ~ it can be machine washed and hung to dry~
